We are still offering private land spring turkey hunts.  We hunt Area K and Unit 234 in the spring. We hunt Mecosta County / private land in the fall. We base our operation in the Big Rapids from our home. We hunt 3 counties in the area. By the time turkey season comes I will have scouted over 1000 birds.  Remember turkey season is a permit hunt. Applications are available January 1st and due February 1st.  Fall permits TBA.  Typically hunters show up late afternoon prior to their hunt.  We chat then go out and roost birds in several areas that evening if we haven't harvested a bird.  We compare notes and select the area where we have seen the largest Toms.  The next morning we go to the selected area and begin the hunt.
